Lost Past... To quote one of my favorite shows, "A boy has the right to dream." And this young boy was just dying to go on a space adventure.
This is the start of Lost Past, perhaps one day, my magnum opus. I've been dreaming this thing up since 2001, when 14 year old me sketched the first concept of Vaan Lightning on lined paper.
Unfortunately, little me was very keen to base almost everything off of my favorite anime shows at the time, namely Outlaw Star (Gene & Jim = Vaan & Gideon), Trigun (Gunslinger, Wanted Outlaw, Accidental Disaster), Dragonball Z (Seven Stones), Escaflowne (Armor designs and some character names), and Tenchi Muyo (the weird forehead stone thing) - and it's REALLY obvious when you look at my early concept art. As I got older, I realized the obvious roots of my inspiration and redesigned the characters again. And again. And again.
The result is a long history of character designs, but little to no story development. A few years ago, I finally decided to focus on the story by free writing, RPGs, and brainstorming. That resulted in a much-needed clearing of the air and a reboot of Lost Past.

The very first picture I ever drew of Vaan. Awww.
Hey, there's Elian. Elian, get over to Aspectors! You're not supposed to be in this universe.
